What we collect, and what we don’t.
Your name and email so the ticket can reach you. The organiser gets their own guest list. We only market to you if you tick the box. Nobody buys any of it from us.

1. Who we are
GoldenDoko LLC, an Ohio company. We provide the event pages and, for most events, the ticketing. An independent organiser produces and runs the night itself — the event page names them.
Several organisers also have their own site that we build and run for them. Buying there is buying from us — the same payment account, the same ticket email, the same scanner — so everything below applies exactly the same way.
A few events are listed here but ticketed somewhere else entirely. Those pages carry no checkout and say so. If you buy for one of them you buy from the organiser or whoever sells it, and nothing about that purchase reaches us: no order, no email address, no phone number. Everything below describes what happens when you buy through us.

2. What we collect
When you buy
- Your name and email address.
- Your phone number, where the event asks for one or you choose to give it.
- Answers to any questions the organiser adds to their own checkout — dietary needs, table groups, and the like.
- Which event, which tier, how many tickets, what you paid, and whether each code has been scanned.
- Whether you ticked the optional marketing box — and if you did, when, and the exact wording that was on the screen at the time.
At the door
When your ticket was scanned, how many times, and — at events that use them — the wristband number bound to it.
Automatically
Our hosting and database providers keep ordinary technical and security logs, which can include an IP address, browser and device type, and error records. We do not run analytics and we do not profile you.
What we never have
Your card number. Payment happens on Stripe’s systems. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference to it — never the card details, not even briefly. There is no card field anywhere on this site.
3. What we use it for
To sell you a ticket and get you into the event:
- Issuing and delivering your ticket codes, and validating them at the door.
- Confirming payment and keeping the order record.
- Telling you about changes, cancellations or problems with the event you bought for.
- Answering you when you contact us, and handling refunds and disputes.
- Preventing fraud and ticket misuse.
- Meeting our accounting, tax and legal obligations.
Your email address and phone number are not used only for marketing. They are first and foremost how your ticket reaches you and how we reach you about the night you paid for. Those messages are part of the sale.
4. Marketing — and the two kinds of message
Your ticket email is transactional. It is the ticket. It carries no advertising, and you cannot unsubscribe from it and still get in.
Everything else is opt-in. At checkout there is a tick box — unticked when you arrive — offering to hear from GoldenDoko about future events. If you tick it, we may email you about upcoming events.
We do not send marketing text messages. Your phone number is used only to reach you about a night you actually bought a ticket for.
We record when you ticked it and the exact wording you were shown, so both of us can see later what was actually agreed.
It is never a condition of buying a ticket. Leave it unticked and your ticket is identical; we then use your details only to get you into that night.
To stop, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email — one click, no sign-in, and it takes effect immediately. You can also email support@goldendoko.com from the address you want removed, and a person will action it.
We record the withdrawal rather than deleting the original consent, so the history is clear both ways.
Separately, an organiser may contact their own attendees about their own event— running the night is why they hold the list. If that becomes unwanted, tell them or tell us.
5. Who we share it with
- The organiser of the event you bought for — their own guest list only, so they can run the door and reach you about their night. They cannot see any other organiser’s buyers, or events you have attended elsewhere here. Today we provide that list directly; a self-service dashboard is being built and will be scoped the same way.
- Our processors, each doing one job: Stripe (payments), Resend (sending your ticket), Supabase (the database) and Cloudflare (hosting). They act on our instructions.
- Where the law requires it, or where it is genuinely necessary to prevent fraud or protect someone’s safety.
- In a business transfer. If GoldenDoko is ever merged, acquired or sold, this information may transfer with the business, subject to this notice.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
6. Cookies and what sits in your browser
We set no advertising or tracking cookies, and run no analytics or pixel.
What the site keeps on your device is small and functional: a promoter referral code if you followed one, whether you muted the music, and — for door staff only — a signed-in session. It stays in your browser.
One third party is embedded: event pages show a Google Maps frame for the venue, and Google may set its own cookies when it loads. We do not control those and receive nothing from them.
7. How long we keep it
Order and ticket records are kept while the event is upcoming, and afterwards as business records — we need to be able to answer a chargeback, a refund query or a tax question about a night that has already happened. Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw them, and the record of the withdrawal is kept so we can honour it.
Ask us to delete your details and we will, except where a record must be retained for accounting or legal reasons.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect this information, and card data never reaches us at all. No online service can promise perfect security; tell us if you think something has gone wrong.
9. Your choices
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected, have it deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw an optional consent. You can also complain to your local privacy regulator.
Email support@goldendoko.com with the subject Privacy request, and tell us the email address you bought with so we can find you. We may need to check it is really you before we act.
10. Children
This site is not intended for children to buy tickets on, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Plenty of the events are all ages — bring your family — but the purchase should be made by an adult.
11. Where your data is
GoldenDoko LLC is in Ohio, United States, and our processors operate in the United States and elsewhere. If you buy from outside the US, your details are processed in the US.
12. Other sites
We link out to Stripe, to organisers’ social accounts and to venue sites. This notice does not cover them; check theirs.
13. Changes
We may update this notice. The current version is always the one on this page, with its date at the top.
