Ticket terms
What you are buying, in plain language.
Short, and written to be read. If something here disagrees with what an event page says about that event, the event page wins — it is the one the organiser wrote.

1. Who you are dealing with
GoldenDoko Events is operated by GoldenDoko LLC, an Ohio limited liability company (“we”, “us”).
The event is run by the organiser named on the event page, not by us. When you buy through GoldenDoko we sell you the ticket, deliver it, and validate it at the door — the door scanner is ours even though the person holding it works for the organiser. They run the night: the venue, the lineup, the timings, the door policy, and everything that happens once you are inside. This matters most when something goes wrong, so it is stated first rather than buried.
“Through GoldenDoko” means the checkout, not the web address. Several organisers have their own site that we build and run for them. Buying there is buying from us: the same payment account, the same ticket email, the same scanner. These terms apply in full.
A few events are listed here but ticketed somewhere else entirely. We still show the date, so the listing is a true picture of what our organisers are running. Those pages carry no checkout and say so. For those, and only those, we are neither the seller nor the merchant of record — these terms do not govern that purchase, and questions about a ticket, a refund or entry go to the organiser or to whoever sold it.
2. Agreeing to these terms
Buying a ticket or attending an event means you accept these terms and our privacy notice. If you do not, please do not buy.
You need legal capacity to make the purchase, and the purchase should be made by an adult.
3. Buying a ticket
Tickets are sold subject to availability. You are responsible for entering a correct email address — it is where your ticket goes — and for checking the event details before you buy.
A ticket is a revocable licence to attend one event. It is not property, and it does not transfer any rights in the event, the performance or the venue.
4. Payment
Card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own systems. We never receive or store your card number, security code or expiry date. There is no card field anywhere on this site; paying takes you to Stripe and back.
What we do keep is the record of the transaction: the amount, the currency, whether it succeeded, Stripe’s reference for it, your order number and your ticket codes.
The price shown is what you pay. Where an event adds tax or a fee it is itemised before you confirm, never added afterwards.
5. Getting your ticket
Your QR code arrives by email, normally within a minute of payment. One code per person: buy four and you get four, each admitting one.
If it has not arrived after a few minutes, check spam, then email us — please do not buy a second ticket. We can re-issue once we have confirmed the purchase.
6. At the door
- Bring the QR code, on a phone or printed. A screenshot is fine.
- A code that has already been scanned shows as already used. Whether that person is admitted is the door team’s decision under the organiser’s policy — at events using wristbands it is how genuine re-entry is allowed. Sharing a code is not a way to get two people in, and may leave the second person outside.
- You may forward your ticket to someone else. Whoever presents it first is the one admitted.
- Some events bind your ticket to a numbered wristband on the first scan so you can leave and come back. Keep the band on.
- Age limits are enforced at the door, not at checkout. Nothing stops an under-age buyer from purchasing, so if a page says 21+ and you cannot prove it on the night, you may be refused entry without a refund. Check before you buy.
- The organiser or venue may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone for conduct, capacity, safety or legal reasons. Removal for conduct does not normally carry a refund.
7. If the event changes or is cancelled
Dates, times, venues, line-ups and running orders can change. We will pass on what we know as soon as we reasonably can.
- Cancelled — you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price.
- Rescheduled — your ticket is valid for the new date. If you cannot make it, contact the organiser.
Travel, lodging, food and other personal costs are not refundable, and we are not responsible for arrangements made in reliance on an event that later changes.
8. Refunds and chargebacks
The refund policy is set by the organiser and shown on the event page. Where an event states one, that is what applies to that event. Change of mind is at the organiser’s discretion within that policy.
Refunds are issued through Stripe and returned to the card used, normally within five to ten business days depending on your bank. They are actioned by hand rather than automatically, so allow us a little time. Payment processing fees may not be recoverable, because they are charged by Stripe rather than by us.
Please contact us before raising a chargeback. Nearly everything is fixable faster directly, and a chargeback locks the funds while the bank investigates — which helps nobody. Repeated fraudulent chargebacks may lead to tickets being cancelled.
9. Photography and recording
Events are often photographed, filmed or recorded — by the organiser, by a hired photographer, for security, or for promotion afterwards. By attending you may appear incidentally in that material.
If you would rather not appear, tell event staff when you arrive and keep clear of any marked filming areas. This does not permit anyone to use your name or likeness in a misleading or defamatory way.
10. What we are responsible for
We are responsible for selling you a valid ticket, delivering your code, and validating it at the door. If we fail at that — your code never arrives, or a valid code is wrongly rejected and you are not admitted — we will refund you.
We are not responsible for the event itself: when it starts, who performs, whether it meets your expectations, or what happens at the venue. Those belong to the organiser and the venue.
The site and the ticketing service are provided as they are. We cannot guarantee that the site is always reachable, that an email is never delayed, or that Stripe and our other providers never have an outage.
So far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — travel, lodging, lost earnings, lost opportunity — and our total liability for a ticket will not exceed what you paid for it. Nothing here removes a right that cannot lawfully be removed.
11. Your side of it
You agree to follow venue rules, staff and security instructions, and the law while at an event, and not to misuse a ticket — no forging, no altering, no reselling one that was not yours to sell.
If a claim is made against us because you broke these terms, misused a ticket, or broke someone else’s rights or the venue’s rules, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it.
12. Our content
The GoldenDoko name, this site, and the software behind it belong to us or our licensors. Event artwork, photographs and copy belong to the organisers who supplied them. You may use the site for your own lawful purposes; please do not copy, scrape or resell it.
13. Third parties
We rely on Stripe for payments, Resend for sending your ticket, Supabase for the database and Cloudflare for hosting. Event pages embed a Google Maps frame for the venue. Each has its own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for their outages or their conduct.
14. How we contact you
We use your email — and your phone number where you gave one — to get you your ticket and to support the purchase: confirmations, ticket delivery, changes to the event, refunds, and anything we are legally required to tell you. Those messages are part of the sale and are not optional.
Separately, at checkout you can opt in to hearing from GoldenDoko about future events. That box is unticked when you arrive, it is never a condition of buying, and you can withdraw it whenever you like — an unsubscribe link sits at the bottom of every marketing email, or email us. Full detail is in the privacy notice.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and the courts of Stark County, Ohio have jurisdiction — unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
16. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your ticket is the one published when you bought it; material changes are not applied backwards to a ticket already sold.
